Home Care Aide 6 and 8 Hour Shifts Available

TRUCARING INC is looking for compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to join our growing team in Fort Wayne, IN! We have flexible 6 and 8 hour shifts available, making this a great opportunity for caregivers who want meaningful work that fits their schedule. Bonus if you have The Skill-Coach, also known as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) experience, provides essential support and supervision to clients in a residential behavioral health setting. This role helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by monitoring client behavior, assisting with daily routines, and reinforcing recovery-oriented care. Recovery Coaches serve as role models and support systems during clients’ treatment journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing for clients in their homes
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Home Care Aide, CNA, caregiver, or in a related healthcare role preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and mobility support
- Availability for 6 or 8 hour shifts, including possible evenings or weekends
